Construction equipment burns in Durham business fire

Construction equipment was destroyed early Friday morning when a fire burned through a building in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — Construction equipment was destroyed early Friday morning when a fire burned through a building in Durham.

Fire crews were dispatched at 4:44 a.m. to the fire at 5010 Denfield St., according to the Durham Fire Department. Officials said fire was showing from the front of the 7,500-square-foot building and several pieces on construction equipment were on fire in front of the building.

Crew brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes.

There were no injuries.
