We have two long-running consignment sales this week, including the very large Kids Everywear sale at the outlet mall in Morrisville.

Here's what's scheduled:

Kids Everywear doesn't officially open to the public until Saturday, but guests who join the mailing list and bring a gift for charity can shop from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday. Consignment sale veterans know it's best to shop a sale as early as possible to get the best deals and choices.

In order to shop early, you will need to meet certain requirements and bring specific items for donation. There are other opportunities to shop early if you are expecting a child, a first-time parent, teacher, homeschooler, in the military or meet some other qualification. For all of the details about how you can shop early, check the sale's website.

The sale is open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday; 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Aug. 17; and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Aug. 18. Some items are half off on Aug. 17. Some items are half off or 75 percent off on Aug. 18.

The sale is closed from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16.

The sale fills up nine storefronts in the essentially empty Morrisville Outlet Mall and includes ladies and juniors clothing; maternity; and housewares, furniture and home decor for moms, along with all manner of items for kids.

One note on the sale: Laundry baskets are a very popular thing for shoppers to bring to these sales to use as a shopping cart. Often they are pushed or dragged on the floor. A consignor at Kids Everywear tells me the sale would like shoppers to make sure that the baskets are on wheels (many times they are attached with bungee cords to rolling luggage carts) so that the floors are not damaged. Wagons also are great to carry your haul.

Saw in your posting for people to get ready for the sales and to bring wagons or laundry baskets to the consignment sales for what they want to purchase. Just wanted to bring to your attention that the Kids Everywear sale added a note about anything used to bring items needs to be on wheels so that the floors are not damaged.

And another long-running sale, WINGS Consignment, is this weekend. The sale at Hollands United Methodist Church on Ten Ten Road is open to the public from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m., Saturday. Some items are half off from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday.

Thirty percent of all sales go to missions of WINGS, a women's group at the church. The sale offers clothing, toys, furniture and gear for kids, along with maternity clothes.

Check our consignment sale database for all the sales in the region. The season is just getting started!
