Consignment sales in Wake Forest, Durham, Chapel Hill this week
Posted September 24, 2014
Consignment sale season is slowing down a bit, but we have some this weekend and a few more over the next couple of weeks.
The long-running KidAround KidSale is at The Factory in Wake Forest. It's open to the public from noon to 8 p.m., Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, when some items are discounted.
Kidcycle's Dollar Day is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, at Northgate Mall in Durham. The sale held its regular event last weekend. During Dollar Day, each item that is left is just $1. All of the day's sales go to a local charity. This season, it's the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, which is led by Michelle Old, who also is behind Kidcycle. Last year, the diaper bank helped cover more than 200,000 bottoms. Only cash is accepted on Dollar Day.
And the Downing Creek Mother's Club will hold a baby and kids sale from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, near the intersection of Highway 54 and Downing Creek Parkway in Chapel Hill. Just look for the signs. I'm told they'll have clothing, books, toys, DVDs, baby equipment, maternity clothes and furniture. Cash only.
