Consignment sales in Raleigh, Cary, Fayetteville this week

Upscale Resale is in Cary. Hugs & Kisses is in Fayetteville. And Triangle Mothers of Twins & Triplets hosts its sale in Raleigh.

You know you're a consignment sale shopper when you're on a road trip and get excited when you learn that there's a consignment sale at your hotel.

Unfortunately, the sale in Harrisburg, Pa., was closed for the day when we were there. But, from time to time, I hear from consignment sale owners wondering if I have any recommendations for locations for their sales. I wonder if anybody has ever tried a hotel meeting room around here.

OK ... we have three consignment sales this week. Here's where to find them:

Upscale Resale is at Crossroads Plaza between PetCo and Marshalls in Cary. The sale is open to the public 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday. For an entrance fee of $10 or $20 paid in cash (and donated to Christian Life Home of Raleigh), you also can shop between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Thursday. Check the sale's website for details about Thursday event's event. The sale features boutique clothing for children.

Hugs & Kisses consignment sale at the Crown Expo Center in Fayetteville is open to the public 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday. Some items are half off on Friday.

And Triangle Mothers of Twins & Triplets is 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Kerr Scott Building at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
