Consignment sale season is here and this week is a busy one.
Go Ask Mom readers know that I write weekly posts during the season to highlight the sales of the week. Expect these posts for the next six weeks or so. Here's what's happening this week. I'm listing the sales' public hours only.
Divine Children's Show in north Raleigh is open to the public 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday. Some items are half off on Thursday. Grandparents (and their guests) can shop at 7 p.m., Tuesday, and new moms can shop early Wednesday morning. For details about that and the sale, check the website. This sale, a long-running one in north Raleigh, features high-end, boutique children's clothing. Find everything here from Hanna Andersson to smocked dresses and jon jons. The price point here will be higher than at your traditional consignment sale. This sale also features children's shoes and designer hand bags for the moms. It's at Leesville Towne Center, 13200 Strickland Rd.
The Monkey Exchange, which also features high-end, boutique children's clothing like the Divine Children's Show, is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, and 9 a.m. to noon, Friday. All clothing is 20 percent off on Friday. Free babysitting is offered from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday. The sale is at the North Hills Club Ballroom, 4824 Yadkin Dr., Raleigh.
In upscale women's clothing news:
Twice as Nice Upscale Women's Consignment Sale is open to the public 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday. Some items are half off on Saturday. Also, the sale will offer early shopping for the public during the sneak peek sale from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday. Admission on Wednesday is $10 and includes hors d'oeuvres and wine. It's at BienVenue, 1402 E. Williams St., Apex.

Take 2 Kids Consignment, 603 S. Wall St., Benson, is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday. Some items are half off from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.
Wings Kids Consignment Sale at Hollands United Methodist Church in Raleigh is open 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m., Saturday. Some items are half off from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday.
Sanford MOPS will host a sale at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 2916 Wicker St., Sanford, from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday. Admission is $1 to shop. The fee also will qualify shoppers for a 50/50 raffle.
