Consignment sale in Rocky Mount this week

With the Easter holiday this weekend, it's a slow week for consignment sales, but there is one in Rocky Mount (and I know we have some readers there!).

With the Easter holiday this weekend, it's a slow week for consignment sales, but there is one in Rocky Mount (and I know we have some readers there!).

The Treasure Chest takes place at Northgreen Golf Club, 900 Northgreen Lane, Rocky Mount.

Public sale hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday. It's also open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, when some items are half off.

This year, the sale also will have a Benefit Pre-Sale, which is open to the public starting at 6 p.m., Tuesday. The tickets are $10 per adult. Some tickets may be available at the door, but it's best to buy them in advance. The sale's website has the details on that. The money raised will go to a local young mother and wife who is fighting her second bout with breast cancer.
