Computer blamed for fire that burned Fort Bragg military housing
A malfunctioning computer is believed to have sparked a blaze that burned three military housing duplexes near Fort Bragg early Thursday, authorities said.

No one was hurt, but the fire displaced two families.
The fire started around midnight at 28 Mount Mitchell Place, which is in the Linden Oaks military housing community. Fort Bragg officials said the two displaced families were given temporary housing.
Damage to the burned units was estimated at more than $280,000.
"We are very lucky that there was no loss of life or injuries as a result of the fire," Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum said in a statement. "We can replace buildings, but not our service members and their families."
Firefighters from Fort Bragg, Spout Springs, Anderson Creek, Benhaven and Spring Lake responded to the blaze, which took about two hours to extinguish.
