RALEIGH, N.C.The Morning Times coffee shop is getting a shout out from a nationally known comedian.
Gary Owen is in Raleigh to perform at Goodnights Comedy Club this weekend. He arrived too early to check in to his hotel on Thursday, so he went to the coffee shop for breakfast.

Owen described his experience during a video posted to his Instagram account:

"There was a black guy in the restaurant, coffee shop begging for money and this one white dude who works ... a barista or food runner said, 'Hey man, you can't be begging in here, you can't be begging for money in here, but are you thirsty? Do you want something to drink?"

The server got the man some water and the man left.

"It just showed that he put it down there - you can't be begging in here - but then he also treated him like a human being," Owen said. "Great job Morning Times."
