Happy New Year! Come ring in the Year of the Snake at the Triangle Area Chinese American Society's Chinese New Year Festival this Saturday.

The festival will have music and dance performances, Chinese calligraphy, craft exhibits and more. Of course there will be delicious Chinese food too, including dim sum, noodles and dumplings.

There will also be a talent competition from 3-4 p.m. that is open to the public. You can register online or on-site if there's space available.Raleigh Chinese New Year Festival_02

The Chinese New Year Festival will be held at the Exposition Center at the State Fairgrounds. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 online or at Asian grocery stores in the area. Tickets at the door are $8, and children 6 and under get in free.
