Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center will get a boost during the Color My Run 5K race in Raleigh next month.

The event is set for 9 a.m. to noon, June 15, at Walnut Creek Amphitheater, 3801 Rock Quarry Rd., in Raleigh.

The high energy event involves racers, called "splashers" here, getting splashed with different colors. As you run down the course, race staff and volunteers throw a non-toxic color powder on you at certain points.

By the end, runners are covered in a rainbow of colors. These are fun events for adults and kids, who love getting colored up. It's designed for runners of all ages, shapes, sizes, speeds and talent levels.

At the end of the race, a Splash Bash Party will feature music, food, drinks and maybe even a giant water fight! Registration is $45 until June 8 when it's $50. Click here for all the details.
The event benefits Duke Children's.
