This week is North Carolina College Application Week, which aims to help graduating high school seniors who would be the first in their families to attend college and students who may not have seriously considered attending college.

During this statewide event, all 110 North Carolina colleges and universities will accept the College Board fee waiver in lieu of an application fee, for students who qualify. Students who receive the SAT or ACT fee waiver usually qualify for the College Board fee waiver, according to CFNC.org.

In some cases, colleges and universities waive their fee for all North Carolina graduating seniors during the event.

The event began Monday and runs through Friday.

For many more details, go to CFNC.org, the website for the College Foundation of North Carolina.
