Line of storms to usher in fall-like weather in NC
A cold front moved into North Carolina overnight, bringing with it severe storms and much cooler temperatures.
Posted — UpdatedCentral North Carolina is in a Level 2 category (out of 5) for severe weather, but WRAL meteorologist Nate Johnson said the storms will be more like a line of storms that passed through the area late Tuesday than the system that brought hail and high winds to the region last Friday.
WRAL meteorologist Mike Maze said the best chance for an isolated tornado would be east of Interstate 95, and that the rain will be out of the way by about 8 p.m.
Once the storms move out, temperatures are expected to remain even cooler and dry for the remainder of the week.
"Thursday looks really nice," WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said. "It will be cooler and much less humid."
