— Bundle up, runners.

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon weekend will be chilly as a cold front that moved in Friday night could drop temperatures to below freezing on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

On Saturday morning, the low temperature will be 37 degrees ahead of the 8 a.m. start time for the 5K race.

"If you're going to be out early for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, it's going to be chilly," Gardner said.

A sweeping freeze watch will be in effect for Sunday morning, though. Temperatures will hover around 29 degrees at 7 a.m. when the marathon and half-marathon distances are scheduled to begin.

"(That's) dangerously cold for plants," Gardner said. "Just make sure you're dressed in layers."

High temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will settle into the mid-50s, and there will be plenty of sunshine to finish the race.
