RALEIGH, N.C. — Social Media is buzzing about CockADoodleMoo’s takeover of The Berkeley Café Tuesday night. For the past few months, various food truck owners have taken over the kitchen preparing dishes different from their food truck’s menu. This is the first time CockADoodleMoo has taken over. It's a $25 prix fixe menu.
Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo releasing 2016 VIP wristbands
Ever wanted to be first in line for your favorite food trucks? The Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo has announced its dates for this year: May 1, June 12, Aug. 7 and Oct. 9. VIP early admission wristbands, which let you get in to buy food before the general public, are on sale now.
James Beard winner and Boricua Soul
James Beard Award winning author and Soul Food scholar, Adrian Miller, is teaming up with local food truck, Boricua Soul for Soul Food on Saturday on Feb. 13 at Fullsteam Brewery. Chefs from Boricua Soul will cook some of their favorite recipes out of Miller’s award winning book, “Soul Food: The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine, One Plate at a Time.” Miller will also present a short history on the history of Soul Food.
Fuzzy Palooza​
New food truck Fuzzy’s Empanadas is having a grand opening weekend, Jan. 21-23, making stops at Compass Rose, Nickelpoint and Wine 101 in Wake Forest. Each day has different activities, but one common activity is donating sales to Chalon Swanson’s Make-A-Wish Fundraising Campaign.
Durham Central Park rodeo coming up
The first Durham Central Park food truck rodeo takes place on Sunday, Jan. 24. Plan B is the scheduled musical act accompanied by more than 50 food trucks, local beer and cider.
