Coastal communities clean up after Matthew's damaging winds

Matt Dye said roads that were impassible Saturday as Hurricane Matthew marched up the coast had cleared, leaving

"Yesterday you couldn't drive up here, yesterday afternoon there was just so much water," he said. "Today's not bad. Today most of the water is gone."

Ocean Crest and Oak Island piers were both damaged by Matthew's high winds, with debris blowing about a mile down the beach.

Those repairs will take longer.

In Wrightsville Beach, a couple who planned to wed over the weekend delayed their big day from Saturday to Sunday because of Matthew.

Under sunny skies, the ceremony went off without a hitch!
