IF more would NOT throw things in the water, on the beach this would not be happening. The days of 'thinking' the ocean can take whatever we throw at her are long gone. We KNOW she can't yet many continue to use it as their own personal trash can....That needs to stop!

I'm not the one leaving fishing lines and plastic bags all over the place for our sea turtles to become entangled in. I'm not the one leaving hooks in the sand for our children to step on. I'm not the one tossing cigarette butts and beer cans into the sea. I'm not the one leaving my lead sinkers in our waterways. I'm not the one depleting our fisheries. I'm not the one catching a skate or a shark and killing it because it's "scary". I'm not the one killing a beautiful billfish for no purpose other than hanging it on a wall to boost one's ego...

Fishermen are a scourge upon this earth. We need the equivalent of attempted murder charges when God's wonderful creatures are traumatized due to negligence such as this.
