Clued in Kids Healthy Easter treasure hunt

Clued in Kids has another twist on the usual Easter hunt - a healthy Easter treasure hunt.

I've written about Helen Bertelli and her Clued in Kids series before. The Wake Forest mom of two created Clued in Kids in November 2013 after putting together treasure hunts for her own kids. Bertelli, who loved the hunts as a child, realized that she was on to something when neighborhood kids starting joining in and clamoring for more.

Today, Clued in Kids hunts are sold online and at stores across the country. In the treasure hunts, each clue sends kids from one spot in a house to the next as they work to retrieve a treasure, like stickers, toys or some other goodie, at the very end.

Bertelli shared with me her latest hunt - a healthy Easter treasure hunt. It's a fun, printable activity that she's selling for $5.99 online. The hunt, great for one to 10 kids, takes less than 10 minutes to set up. (And the setting up part of it is a lot of fun for older kids). To progress through the hunt, kids must answer questions about healthy foods and healthy living.

I could see doing this on Easter morning with Easter baskets being the hidden treasure!
