WILMINGTON, N.C. — Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine are both scheduled to pay a visit to North Carolina next week.

Kaine will give a "major national security address" in Wilmington on Tuesday, Clinton's campaign said Thursday.

"Sen. Kaine will underline that Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who has the experience, temperament and judgment to serve as commander-in-chief and who has the vision to make America safer and stronger together," the campaign said.

Kaine also is expected to appear at a fundraiser in Chapel Hill Tuesday evening, while Clinton is expected to hold a high-dollar fundraiser and a rally in Charlotte on Thursday.

Vice President Joe Biden will also make an appearance in North Carolina on Sept. 12 to headline a fundraiser for the Democratic Governors Association in Raleigh. Biden will appear with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Roy Cooper.

Meanwhile, Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence is scheduled to appear in Fayetteville on Saturday.
