Cleveland High School football team bus robbed during game
A thief slipped on to a Cleveland High School activity bus during its game on against Smithfield-Selma Friday night, stealing clothes and valuables in the process.
Posted — UpdatedWhen the game ended, the team returned to its two activity buses and found the unexpected.
“Everyone started to get back on the bus, and everyone started saying their stuff was gone,” Chris Cody said. “Like, people went through their bags. Things moved around.”
While the coaches tallied the loss, several players called their parents.
A Johnston County spokesperson told WRAL that doors to the activity busses are not usually locked. Officials said coaches are working with authorities to find out who is responsible for the theft.
