Clayton shooting suspect surrenders

CLAYTON, N.C. — A man sought by Clayton police in a shooting two weeks ago surrendered late Monday, police said.

David Richard Anderson, 27, of Clayton, surrendered at the Johnston County Jail and was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was being held Tuesday in the jail under a $1 million bond.

Anderson is charged with shooting at Theodore Holder, 27, of Clayton, on Dec. 16 in a parking lot at 11617 U.S. Highway 70 Business.
