CLAYTON, N.C. — Clayton police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who has not been seen since Feb. 21.

Foul play is not suspected in Deja O'Neal's disappearance, but police believe she could be with friends in the Middlesex, Goldsboro or Clinton area.

O'Neal did not return to her home on Sleepy Creek Drive after school Feb. 21, and she has not been seen or heard from since.

O'Neal is black with brown eyes and black hair. She stands about 5 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with "Yolo" written in pink letters on it, blue jeans, black shoes and a white barrette in her hair.

She has a mole on her left cheek and neck, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the Clayton Police Department at 919-553-4611.
