Clayton man faces DWI charge after accident

Clayton, N.C. — A Clayton man faces a driving while impaired charge after a Wednesday night accident on Mial Plantation Road, police said.
Greyson L. Johnson, 26, was driving north on Mial Plantation Road, off of Highway 70 between Garner and Clayton, when his vehicle crossed the center lane at a high rate of speed around 11:20 p.m. The vehicle veered off the road to the left, then ran off the road to the right, hitting trees and overturning.
Johnson was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to WakeMed, but his condition was not immediately available.
In addition to DWI, Johnson was charged with careless and reckless driving.
