— A Clayton man pleaded guilty Thursday to a federal charge of receipt of child pornography.

Prosecutors said that Steven Schriefels, 37, had 600 images and 23 videos of child pornography on his home computer.

Schriefels first came to the attention of the U.S. Secret Service in April 2009 for allegedly making threats against the President Barack Obama, prosecutors said. No evidence of the threats was found, but the investigation led to the discovery of the child porn.

does the fact the he made threats against the President and he watches child porn have a connection?

His sentencing may not be docketed yet. In federal sentencing, the US Probation Office conduct a presentencing investigation and then must prepare a report that's released to the parties for objections/clarifications no less than 35 days before sentencing. It's not unusual for pleas today to be sentenced several months later.

Hmmm, he pleaded guilty? and exactly how long has he been involved in this type of disgusting behavior before he got caught with this material?
What in the world is breeding in our society where these grown men are looking at children in the most disgusting way? Very un-nerving to even dissect!

Note to self: Get rid of all illegal materials in your possession before making a threat on the president.
