Joe is a really good hearted person and not nearly the person portrayed by this article. I'm so disappointed in the editor. Details are lacking that really show his good character as a person and dad. It leads the reader to imagine a much worse scenerio.

he may have been trying to discipline his stepdaughter and she called authorities. Things aren't always what they seem, especially where step children are involved.

To post bond, one only has to pay a percentage, typically around 10% of the bond Wolfheal Tarpack

Its 15% in North Carolina or a property Bond posted with the Clerk of Courts Office. They need at least that much equity in
the house to post that amount of Bond. More than likely he paid the 15%

After the Riverwood incident a few months ago with "the boy who cried wolf", not going to believe this story is 100% true until it's proven otherwise.
I know the family a little bit and find this pretty far fetched.

The bail amount id 15% for the defendant. I don't know why the set bail for some offenders. Drug dealers can just call a buddy and have them run some bail money down to the bail bondsman. You can also post a property bond as long as there is enough equity in the property to cover it.

If true, the girl's mother made a bad choice the day she hooked up with him.
