Clayton man accused of embezzlement

— A Clayton man is accused of embezzling money from his employer.

Anthony Ray Sloan, 25, of 200 Sleepy Creek Drive, is accused of embezzling $600 from Hawley’s Camping Centers in Garner in March.

Sloan was arrested on Wednesday. He was being held under a $35,000 bond at the Wake County jail.

    He's a convicted felon. Priors for Robbery w/ a dangerous weapon... among others.

    I didn't think $600 even qualified for "embezzlement" and what's with the $35,000 bond. There has to be more to this story.
