CLACKAMAS, OREGON — A Clackamas boy trying for his black belt is helping police dogs in Clackamas County.

To fulfill his community service requirements for his black belt, Aiden Woods held a garage sale Saturday to raise money for retired K-9's from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.

The money raised from the garage sale goes to Friends of Clackamas County K-9s.

Once a K-9 retires, the dog's food and medical expenses become the handler's responsibility.

The nonprofit's goal is to help the handlers provide for their dogs.

Friends of Clackamas County K-9s started in December and is currently helping care for three retired K9's.

The organization says they expect three more dogs to retire by Fall.
