If you're looking for affordable options to fill up your kids' summers with fun and educational activities, camps run by municipal parks systems in the region offer some great ones. In Raleigh, for instance, full-day summer camps start at as little as $30 or $60 per week, depending on the location.
Here are links to local parks departments that have posted their summer camp brochures for 2017. Registration for some begins in the next few weeks.
