Five new menu items will be available for a limited three-week period during the peak of the Green Chile harvest season in Hatch, New Mexico. These include the Queso Funded, Spinach Chicken Enchiladas, Green Chile Street Tacos, Burrito Loco and The Valley Combo. They’ll also feature a Frozen Prickly Pear ‘Rita and the famous New Mexican Martini, made with green chile-infused tequila.
I believe I am going to have to try that Frozen Prickly Pear ‘Rita!
This year Chuy’s is bringing in over 2 million pounds of peppers from the fertile fields of Hatch, New Mexico. During the festival Green Chiles are harvested daily to ensure that you get a taste of their unique flavor, straight from the farm to Chuy’s in Raleigh-Durham.
Customers are encouraged to join in the fun by posting a photo of their favorite Green Chile Fest dish to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #ChuysGreenChileFest for a chance to win daily prizes and a grand prize trip for two to Austin, TX. To learn more, head to their Facebook page.
