Churches open registration for Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a summer tradition for lots of families around here. The programs combine Bible stories and lessons with crafts, activities and lots of fun.

Many are free or very affordable. They typically are open to the public, not just church members. And some are offered in the evening or on weekends for kids who are in traditional camps all week because of working parents.

Here's a list of some of the programs across the Triangle. Most, if not all, require some sort of pre-registration. Some fill up. Some have waiting lists. So be sure to contact the church before you bring your kids to ensure you have a spot.

If there's a VBS or church camp that's not listed here, feel free to include it in the comments.

Whether folks believe Jesus or not doesn't change the truth. People who seek the Truth will find the Truth. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me".

If all the answers are in the science books, why do we still have cancer, and birth defects, etc.? You say it is a fairy tale, is that b/c you were told that by a teacher, or college professor, or some other expert that it is all a fairy tale? You say it is a fairy tale b/c you have been told it is by somebody, or read something someone wrote. I would ask you to consider the possibility that it is not a fairy tale, and what the Bible tells us is truth. Are you willing to take that risk, that it is not true, just a myth or a fairy tale? Do you really in your innermost thoughts believe that when a human being dies it is put in the ground, or cremated, and that is it, there is no more? Believing that the Bible is a myth takes a lot more faith than actually examining what it says, and the claims it makes, and looking into it with your intellect.

Why do you care? They are not harming you. It's not like the Islamic summer schools, where they learn how to make bomb vests.
