Children found with grandmother in Fayetteville after 5-hour search

A 6-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy reported missing Saturday night in Fayetteville were found safe just before 2 a.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 6-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy reported missing Saturday night in Fayetteville were found safe with their grandmother just before 2 a.m.

Police, firefighters and neighbors near Sherwood Park Elementary School searched for Linsley Beam, 6, and Antonio Beachamp, 2, for about five hours into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

According to officials with the Fayetteville Police Department, the children had been picked up by their grandmother without their parents' knowledge.
