Chicken Feed Tanker Overturns in Chatham County

— A tanker carrying chicken feed overturned Tuesday in Chatham County, authorities said.

The accident occurred on Bonlee Bennett Road near Airport and Lane roads in Bennett when the driver lost control as he went around a sharp curve, authorities said.

At least one person was taken from the scene by ambulance, authorities said. There was no word on the extent of the injuries.

Crews shut down Bonlee Bennett Road for several hours as they cleared the feed from the road.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
