Checkout 51 Details

There is a new coupon source available called Checkout 51 that can be used in conjunction with paper coupons and other digital coupon programs!  And you can use it with your smartphone or computer!

Here's how it works:

* Sign up on the Checkout 51 website for free using your e-mail or Facebook info.

* Browse the available offers (and print out a list if you don't think you will remember them).

* Head to the store (any store) and buy the offers you want (like $1 cash back on ANY gallon of milk or .50 cash back on a package of Lenders bagels).

* Take a photo of your receipt and upload it to Checkout 51.

* Once they confirm your purchase, they will credit your account.

* When you accrue $20 in your Checkout 51 account, you can cash it out in the form of a check mailed to your address.

Additional information:

* This program is not store specific. You can buy the items at any store.

* New offers come out each Thursday and are available until the next Wednesday. You have to buy the participating product and submit the receipt during that week to get credit. Not everyone gets the same offers so make sure you log into your account to see what offers you received.

* There are a limited number of redemptions per item so make sure you submit the receipt as soon as possible so you can get the deal.

* You will be allowed to get cash back once for each offer.

* You CAN use Checkout 51 offers with paper coupons and other digital coupon sites like ibotta and SavingStar, com! I love that aspect of this program!

Included in my offers for this week is $1 off a gallon of any brand of milk, a $2 cash back offer when I submit a receipt of $20 or more and various .50 - $2 grocery offers. I am excited to try the program on Sunday after I hit the grocery store. Please share your experience with this program once you use it.

For many more details, check out the Checkout 51 help section.

For those of you w/ the Applegate offer, Target has Applegate on sale this week, plus there's a 25% off Applegate meats & cheeses deal available in its Cartwheel app (expires in 2 days).

I live in the Triangle and here all are my offers to try to get a handle on this...2 windex $1.50 off; 2 special K cereal $1 off; 2 special K shakes $2 off; glade; aveeno; RoC; 2 belvita biscuits $1 off; halls; 2 kiwi $1 off; drano; ritz bits multipack 50 cents; dole salad 50 cents; faeg (misspelled because it would not accept the correct spelling) yogurt $1 off; duncan hines brownie mix 50 cents. Anything stand out there?

Rebecca - they send you a check. Once you have $20 in your account, you can request a check and they will ask for your mailing address at that time. They do not ask for your credit card or checking account info.

How exactly is the reimbursement paid? checking account? credit card? debit?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jan 16, 2014

Thanks for all the info on the eggs and other deals everyone. Looks like the deals are different for different people.

I notice that Checkout 51 explicitly says in their privacy policy that they may sell their assets... "Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets during any of these events."

I think I'll skip this place. You're personal information is stored for transactions and they sell it to others? Um, nice. Having my personal info by hackers at Target is bad enough, I definitely don't want some company selling it to whomever they like so they can make money off me.

  • scoutmomof2 Jan 16, 2014

Oh and for those without a smartphone, it says on their website that you can upload receipts through there.

  • scoutmomof2 Jan 16, 2014

My eggs were also for $1. Mine are slightly different, instead of the belvita soft baked, I still have the Halls Drops for 0.50. Instead of the Ritz Crackerfuls and belvits, I got Better than Bouillon. Instead of the Applegate naturals, I got ACT mouthwashes and rinses. So apparently it is like HT evics, some are the same and some are different.

Interesting, Nstutt. Mine is for $1 off any dozen eggs. Looks like it may be regional. Do you live in the Triangle or outside of the Triangle?

What did everyone else get for the eggs offer? $1 or .50 off?

  • nstutt Jan 16, 2014

It says 50 cents on a dozen eggs when I go to the website. (I have already submitted and received $1 off of milk so is it only $1 for first timers?) if not, why is it only 50 cents?
