Go Ask Mom

Check out scenes from Go Ask Mom's morning at North Hills

Posted May 7, 2014

We had another fun morning at North Hills! It was great to meet so many Go Ask Mom readers!

And a big thanks especially to all of the people who brought the fun: First-In Fire Company, Rissi Palmer, Fit4Mom Midtown Raleigh, Oscar William Cotton Candy Co., Lil Chef, Wild at Art Kids, Chick-fil-A, New York Life Insurance Company and Wake County Sheriff's Office!

Our morning was part of North Hills Kids' free open play, which happens Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through the summer. We'll be back on July 8 at North Hills' new Midtown Park!

JMO but this is an issue that can not be overlooked and it point to a reason that a lot of African Americans are not as successful as they could be. I do not think many if any were present at this family event. When I go to high school teacher nights and PTA meetings, I do not see many or really barley any there participating either. So the question is why? I really want to know.

Why is it that out of all these photos not one african american mom or dad with child was represented?
