Today on the noon news I chatted with Bill about weekly school supply deals, the upcoming coupon class at WRAL on August 2 and the Chick-fil-A free chicken with donation promotion. Read on for details about the information we discussed!

Cost: $10.00 per person and please bring one or more non-perishable items to donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Everyone who brings a donation will receive an extra door prize entry!

A pen and handout and light snacks will be provided.

Select Raleigh & Cary Chick-fil-A locations are collecting food for Urban Ministries Food Pantry and you can score a FREE chicken sandwich when you donate 3 canned food items Thursday and Friday!

Participating Raleigh and Cary Chick-fil-A restaurants will give coupons for a free regular or spicy chicken sandwich to customers bringing three canned food items on Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25. This Christmas in July canned food drive will benefit Urban Ministries of Wake County Food Pantry, which serves Wake County’s neediest residents.

Participating Raleigh and Cary Chick-fil-A restaurants are located at Cameron Village, Capital Crossing, Crossroads Plaza Cary, Crabtree Valley Mall, Falls Village, Harrison Square, North Hills, Townridge Square, and Triangle Town Center.

When: July 24 and 25, 2014, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

These donations enable Urban Ministries to help address hunger for over 24,000 Wake County neighbors in need during the summer months. Food donations decrease during summer months leaving the food pantry unable to meet demand for over 671,000 low-income children in North Carolina who receive lunch assistance during the school year.
