Chatham man pleads guilty in mother's death

— Bobby Lee Person, 28, of 220 Fletcher Siler Road in Siler City, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother in February 2007.

Judge Howard Manning sentenced Person to life without parole.

Person told Chatham County Sheriff's Office detectives the stabbing occurred during an argument.

    His mama probably was the only person that would love him to go to prison to visit him.

    Should have been death, why do we (tax payers) have to pay for this sorry no good person (if you want to call him that)to be locked up for who knows how long?

    He deserve everything it get and this is very sad to kill the person that brought you in this world. Please correct me if am wrong. I read another story on this site. A 16 yr killed his mother 44, father 45 and either 2 or 3 siblings but yet will be able to be parole within 25 to ex about of years. He took 4 lives and yet this guy only took one. No am not defending him am just saying about the justice. Either way both stories are very sad..
