Chatham County retirement home under investigation
State officials say they are looking into problems at the Hill Forest Rest Home Retirement Home in Goldston.
Posted — UpdatedAn employee of the facility, located at 9141 U.S. Highway 421, told WRAL News that employees are not getting paid properly.
Violations detrimental to the health and safety of the residents have also been documented at the facility in recent months, according to Department of Health and Human Services documents.
The Chatham County Department of Social Services and state Acute and Home Care Licensure and Certification staff are looking into issues at the facility.
Officials said more information concerning the investigation will be made available in the coming days.
