Skillpop Raleigh has launched
RALEIGH, N.C. — After less than a year in business, Charlotte-based educational program SkillPop has expanded to Raleigh.

The community-driven company hosts classes on a variety of topics - Charlotte courses have included chocolate appreciation, public speaking, photography basics and tips for a great at-home blowout. Classes are hosted by local experts and cost between $25 and $35.

The brainchild of Charlotte native Haley Bohon, SkillPop classes are designed to be informal and fun.

"I graduated from N.C. State, so it's been on my mind to bring SkillPop to Raleigh. As an educational hub with a vibrant culture, Raleigh is the perfect city for SkillPop’s next move and we're thrilled to contribute to that community,” Bohon said.

The first class will be a handlettering course on Aug. 18 at The Nest, a co-working space at 414 Fayetteville St. in downtown Raleigh.
