I've written about plenty of charity 5Ks, but here's one with a different twist: A charity swim.

I've written about plenty of charity 5Ks, but here's one with a different twist: A charity swim.

The Triangle Indoor Water Festival is Sept. 21 at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center at N.C. State University in Raleigh. The event will raise money for cancer research, prevention and treatment.

The day includes a variety of activities including individual swims of distances from a 1/2 mile fun swim to two-mile competitive swim; water aerobics and relays. Plans also call for a water carnival with kayaks, water polo, water scavenger hunts, games and prizes.

Check the website for more information about how you can sign up to swim. I know there are plenty of year-round swimmers around here!
