Man charged in connection with fatal Spring Lake stabbing

Posted December 5, 2012

— Cumberland County authorities are searching for a 25-year-old man wanted in connection with the November stabbing death of a Spring Lake man.

Deputies secured first-degree murder warrants for German Torres-Galicia Wednesday.

Investigators went to a home on Romie Street in Spring Lake on Nov. 10 and found Gabriel Cordoba Reyes, 35, dead on the living room floor.

Authorities said Torres-Galicia fled the scene in Reyes' 2002 Nissan Frontier, which was later recovered.

Anyone with information on Galicia's whereabouts should call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 910-323-1500. Translators will be available for anyone calling with information.
