— The driver who crashed into a school bus in Wake Forest was charged Tuesday with failure to reduce speed, police said.

Timothy Burnett ran into the bus while it was stopped on South Main Street at Selsey Drive, according to Wake County Public Schools officials.

Four high school students and a bus driver were taken to WakeMed as a precaution, school officials said.

Bus No. 1155 was taking 21 students to Wake Forest-Rolesville High School at the time.

This is the response to yesterdays story.. so for all those people that blamed the bus drivers.. looks like some humble pie will do you good!! And to ever insinuate that a parent is irresponsible for putting their child on the bus is not only ignorant but rude!! Unlike some of the posters that seem to comment on anything and everything, most of us PARENTS THAT PUT OUR CHILDREN ON BUSES, have a full time job that does not allow for us to get the children to school at the time school starts because we have to be to work WELL before the first bell rings for classes. So maybe you should take your judgements and look at yourself and ask if you are really judging yourself because you put your child on the bus because you're really just too lazy to drive your kid to school.

Am I to assume this occurred yesterday? It doesn't say when the accident occurred, only when the person was charged.
