CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police were seeking the public's help Monday to identify a man who exposed himself Sunday morning in the area of Granville Towers and Fraternity Court.

According to investigators, the man asked a woman for directions and waited for her to approach his vehicle. As the woman approached, she noticed that the man was naked from the waist down.

The man then attempted to grab the woman's arm before she fled the area, police said.

The man is described as 30 to 40 years old, Hispanic, with a short haircut and no facial hair. He was last seen leaving the area in a red, four-door sedan.

Another report of a suspicious person was made a short time later. The incident was reported in the same area and involved a man of the same description, police said. But the second incident did not involve any indecent exposure.

Anyone with information about the incidents should call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760.
