CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Orange County authorities have charged a Chapel Hill man with murder in a Saturday night shooting.

Eric Jermaine Bradshaw, 30, of 8015 Sandberg Lane, was charged with first-degree murder and was being held without bond Monday in the Orange County Jail.

Deputies responding to a reported shooting found Juan Barbee Young, of Jones Ferry Road in Chatham County, in the driveway at 3004 Butler Road. The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Young died of his wound late Saturday at UNC Hospitals.

Investigators said they determined that Young, Bradshaw and another man were arguing, and the fight escalated into gunfire.
