Chapel Hill man charged in 2015 Carrboro homicide

Police on Thursday arrested a Chapel Hill man in connection with the death of a Carrboro man in late 2015.

CARRBORO, N.C. — Police on Thursday arrested a Chapel Hill man in connection with the death of a Carrboro man in late 2015.

Tory Amyr Pope, 32, was charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery in the Dec. 26 death of Todd Richardson.

Richardson, 56, was found dead in a home at 101 N.C. Highway 54 by police responding to a request to check on him. His cause of death hasn't been released.

Pope was being held without bond in the Orange County jail.
