Chapel Hill library offers winter reading program

If your kids are curled up a little too often on these cold winter days with their various gadgets and games, the Chapel Hill Public Library has a little something to encourage them to pick up a book instead.

The library's winter reading program, which began last month, runs through Jan. 31. It's designed for ages 0 to adult. Participants can play by picking up a Book Bingo card at the library or printing one out. Mark off squares from the categories on the Bingo card by reading books or, for younger kids, having a book read to you.

Once you complete your first Book Bingo card, you can exchange it at the library for a free book. You'll also be entered to win other prizes.
