Chapel Hill library hosts big book sale this weekend
Through Sunday, the Friends of the Chapel Hill Public Library will host its biggest book sale ever at the library at 100 Library Dr.
Posted — UpdatedBooks are sorted by subject and for sale at very affordable prices. Prices start at 50 cents for children’s books and mass market paperbacks, with most books priced under $3. Proceeds support the library's collections, services and programs.
You'll find children's books, along with lots of choices for adults - from fiction to non-fiction. The press release says the sale has lots of mysteries, fiction, fantasy and young adult books. There also are Rosetta Stone materials in like new condition to learn French or Spanish.
The sale opens for Friends members with a special preview sale from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday (that's today). You can buy a membership at the door. The cost runs from $10 for students to $35 for families. It's free and open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday. On Sunday, during the "Bag Sale," shoppers can bring their own bags and fill them with books for only $5 a bag.
