Chapel Hill has a new website designed to gather all of the programs and information offered to the town's teens.

As part of the #TeensofChapelHill project, the website - townofchapelhill.org/teens - offers a one-stop spot to learn all about the town's teen-centric social media channels; find a list of programs at the teen center and library; and get information about new technology offerings such as gaming systems and mobile media labs.

The site includes links to the Teen Center and Library webpages, the Chapel Hill Youth Council, work and volunteer opportunities, and resources for getting around town, according to a press release. It also has an updated event calendar and an Instagram feed that will be populated by teens and Town staff.

“The new website delivers on a direct request from teens and parents during earlier stages of the #TeensofChapelHill project,” said Samathryn Witham, Teen Center Supervisor, in the release. “Teens gave us feedback through public meetings and survey data telling us we should design a `teen landing page’ so they can more easily find what the town has to offer them.”

Chapel Hill Town Council set a goal to improve outreach and programming for teens and youth in 2013, the release says.
