Chapel Hill Duplex Fire Leaves 11 Homeless

A fire broke out early Wednesday at a two-story duplex in Chapel Hill.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A fire broke out early Wednesday at a two-story duplex in Chapel Hill.

The fiire occurred at around 4:30 a.m. at 1360 Ephesus Church Road. Officials said the fire displaced at least 11 people and heavily damaged both units.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about an hour, officials said. There were no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. There were no fire sprinklers in the building.
