Chapel Hill bridge takes a chunk out of home

— A prefab home got stuck Monday afternoon under a Chapel Hill bridge, briefly bringing traffic to a standstill.

The driver who shared these photos with WRAL News said no one was injured.

    Actually, DOT determines the route and if the driver differs from the route a huge fine is issued. This happened to me and the driver had to get clearance from DOT before changing routes, fortunately the lead truck did their job by identifying the height issue before wedging my house under a bridge. Another fine NCDOT job (jk)

    Well... in the drivers defense, there are no bridge height markers on either side of those bridges.

    I guess the concepts of knowing your route and the height of your load are too complicated? No excuse for this sort of thing, shows poor planning and is highly unprofessional.
