Channel guide: US Open on WRAL, Fox50

It’s the time of year when our sports programming schedule is jam-packed with live events. So crowded that we have to move programs around to different channels and platforms to get them all on for you.

MONDAY: This one’s a little tricky, so pay close attention. For the first time, CBS has scheduled the US Open coverage of the Men’s Championship to begin at 5:00PM, which conflicts with our evening news. Because more people watch the news than tennis, we have moved the first 90 minutes of the tennis match to FOX50 starting at 5:00PM. At 6:30PM, it will abruptly shift to WRAL-TV and remain there through the conclusion of coverage. Please note if you intend to record the match on your DVR, you will have to set the recording for each half on each station. It also will be able to be streamed live on cbssports.com.

Thanks for watching, and hopefully this will help you find the games you are looking for.

Thanks for the explanation. Good call on the news too.

Why not just change it to WRAL sports after all sports worship dominates programming. A fully loaded 747 could crash on the capitol building killing all on-board and the lead off story would be Joe Blow of NC State stubbed his toe and cannot perform in the next three exhibitions.

For Friday -- so what about the other afternoon shows -- Couldn't the programs be moved to 106 ?? Thanks, Anita
