New programming coming to WRAL2

WRAL2 has carried THIS TV programming as its primary network for more than five years. The quality of the movies has been good, but unfortunately the viewership has not lived up to our expectations. We think it may have to do with the format of “all movies.” Sometimes viewers are discouraged from joining a two-hour movie if it has already started, or are not willing to commit two hours to watching TV.

Beginning on Thursday, a new network will be featured on WRAL2. Heroes & Icons is from the same people that have created the very successful network MeTV which airs on WRAZ.2. However instead of favorite sitcoms from the past, H&I will air popular one-hour dramas.

The new schedule includes Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue and soon will have Star Trek.

We hope you enjoy the programming.

WRAL2 is available over the air on channel 5.2, but can also be seen on the following cable systems in the Raleigh/Durham/Fayetteville market:

Time Warner: Ch. 1255
Suddenlink: Ch. 144
Charter: Ch. 195
CenturyLink: Ch. 6
GreenLight: Ch. 406
Randolph Telephone (MyTV): 34
Shentel: Ch. 159
Star TV: Ch. 18

After you have had a chance to watch H&I, let us know what you think.
